Partner Visa Requirements
To apply for a Partner Visa (Subclass 820 & 801), you must meet the following:
You must be in a genuine and ongoing relationship with:
✅ An Australian citizen OR
✅ An Australian permanent resident OR
✅ An eligible New Zealand citizen
- If married, the marriage must be legal under Australian law.
- If in a de facto relationship, you must prove you have lived together for at least 12 months.
Your partner must sponsor you for at least 2 years.
You must pass a health examination and provide police clearance certificates.
If your previous visa was refused or canceled, you may not be eligible.
